Brain is a bit mushy today
Business advisor, website updates, coffee, marketing plan, sales strategy, schedule social media posts, coffee, business planning…
It has been a lot this morning and my brain is already tired. My full time job will be no more come December-ish time so unless I want to continue working in corporate, I need to grow Valkarie Games.
My digital proposition is going to be core to that growth so thinking about where I have been, what I have created, and where I want it to go is front a centre of my mind.
I had a chance to reminisce over the fact that a new group of friends many thousands of miles away picked up my game - Disaster Tour - and recorded themselves playing it (Kingdom Crawlers - here). They looked like they genuinely had a ball which was amazing to watch, and was the first real opportunity for me to see someone play the game, without my input, outside of playtest, since the game was published. It was fascinating and humbling in many ways - not being able to say “Have you remembered about….”, “Please remind them of their objectives and motivations”. But that is a good thing, because guess what - players play games differently, and they did remember the thing, and they did remind players.
